Threre are many crunchers that have problems like this with vbox across many different projects
and no one has a full fix for it
I see you have a 12 core cpu
vbox was found to have problems with using more than 8 cpus when cosmo started using it
so you don't get berid in workunits , set 8 for that as well
Max # jobs - 8 {is the same as `tasks in progress` on `tasks` page}
Max # CPUs - 8

There is a quick way to find out if you have a pc with xp os on it
Just install boinc if its not already there and attach to project and see what happens
It will need to have plenty of memory to run CAM

My 250 workunits that where stuck `uploading` have now "Timed out - no response "
What a lot of wasted time etc
And as we know the security certificate is still past its `use by date`
I am starting to think that Cosmo@home admin have been kidnaped by aliens
Wot next can happen . . . . .
[I know about the Arecibo telescope collapse]
And the `other` stuff
And the other `other` stuff that happened localy that din`nt make the world news
And the silly stuff that went on last night on our street . . . . .

The disks are full of dark matter
and that stuff is real hard to find . . . . . .
someone shuld set up a boinc project to find a way to get excesive dark matter off a disk drive ;)

Its been done :)
Hold them near a black hole for a while
the stuff falls of easy,

What is going on with this project ?
outages with no explanation,
just a quick note of what happened will do
I know it takes time to fix a servers that have gone into meltdown
it only needs five minits to put a note in the news section
total silence from the admin, this is not good,

if you want to get rid of / loose your account from the likes of boincstats sites etc
then change your email address on the project account page to anything like
ihatemyaccount@nonexistantisp.com
and the password to
no1iseverg01ng2uset15everagain
or somthing like that
the data will still exist though no longer have any connection to you or your other projects

I didnt bother reporting it sooner on the basis that it will get fixed soon :( not so.
And, yes i am crunching other [zero share] projects if cosmo cant supply.

Hi everyone -
2) In the short term the disk space problem has been resolved through a house-cleaning and purging old files. (That was the quick fix idea that I mentioned).

3) I am ordering 4 TB of additional disk space and will have that installed asap.

..edited...
Ben

I had an idea that this old foe had risen again

Cosmo is heading for the third `big bang` ;)

12 Tera byte disks are now available, though cost a bit....
