My last uptime on XP x64 was 11 days before I had to restart for a graphics driver update. This machine plays games constantly throughout the day, so it's quite surprising it can stay up that long without crashing.

Here's the top uptimes I've got on several OSs:

Windows Vista x64 = 14 days (wasn't lagging either, Vista is very good at handling memory)
Windows XP x64 = 17 days
Windows 2000 Standard Server = 26 days (and counting)
Linux x64 = 15 days

My P4 is getting the \"there was work, but it was committed to other platforms\" error too - it\'s almost dry since it\'s been getting the error for several hours.

I'm not getting any more work, but my systems are still going through their cache, so at least they're not dry.

I believe he was talking about server resources. :)

So was I. The amount of computers attached wouldn't really stress the server out.

Actually, what are the server specs? =P

As I understand the pending credit function takes up resources.

With the amount of computers attached to Cosmology@Home, I highly doubt that's actually a problem.
