Yeah, it was really fast for a couple of hours, then it worsened again :) but still faster than these last days.

Now, validator is up and down intermittently and number of PVs is skyrocketing

You only need to disable all but boinc2docker units in your project preferences and not select to receive other units in case boinc2docker's are not available and you will never receive any.

Christian,
you have your hosts hidden so we can not see the stderr file and try to understand what happens.

Legacy units as I remember were of little utility to the project.

I also have some issue with the docker on an 24c/48t Epyc under CentOS

http://www.cosmologyathome.org/result.php?resultid=74548348

Sorry, seems to need to dump all the WU loaded as I have now 90 failed WUs on my belt.
It seems to just wait 600 seconds and then terminate.

VBOx 5.2.16 installed and was working with LHC ...

Any other ideas ?

Try limiting to 8 the quantity of threads used by the VM. Use an app_config.xml file like this.

<app_config>

<app>
<name>camb_boinc2docker</name>
<max_concurrent>6</max_concurrent>
</app>
<app_version>
<app_name>camb_boinc2docker</app_name>
<plan_class>vbox64_mt</plan_class>
<avg_ncpus>8</avg_ncpus>
</app_version>

</app_config>

Hi there.
Credits here are ridiculous to compare with other project.

Then don't compare them.
Every project is its own ecosystem.
It seems to me that you are not interested in volunteers and their problems. It costs us a lot of money to run your research and if you choose to use Credit New or as some will say Credit Screw than that is a sure way of loosing customers. You have other choices to use. Look at other projects, talk to their Admin to see what is best for all concerned.

I've had enough of irresponsible people who complain about credits all the time!
This is about science, not about credit!
I like races as well (and am participating in the Formula Boinc sprint atm), but science has first priority.
I you don't like 'Credit Screw' then stop screwing with it and play Collatz on your GPU and something like PrimeGrid's GCW-Sieve or Numberfields on your CPU. And don't forget to add some instances of Goofy NCI.

+1

Hi,

I have 131 camb_boinc2docker taks pending validation when everyone else seems to have validated all their tasks.

Validator appears as running in the server stat page.

So, what's the reason?

thanks
