Thank You Marius :)

Thanks! Btw, the stats page is now updated to show more than the initial 1k sims.

PS. I find the battle going on at top for which year was a better year to (I presume) be born in, 1965 or 1966, is pretty amusing :)

:) I am very close to buy or rent a bi-xeon ;)

Hello Jim348,

VirtualBox 5 was installed on my crunchbox, but as it was not working
when runing C@H, I re-installed the standard 4.3.12 version.

Will give another try this evening.

Thank You.

I stop crunching these WU's. There is maybe something wrong with my crunchbox.

The first one I launched tonight was still running after 48 minutes => manual abandon.

Back to camb_legacy.

Hello,

Had to abort this WU after 7h10 running time :/

http://www.cosmologyathome.org/result.php?resultid=34122249

Would it be possible to add an automatic "abandon" function ?

ie after x minutes.

Thank You

Best

Hello,

Sorry if question already asked somewhere else.

Running camb_boinc2docker on a 4770K HT ON, but although BM indicates "8 CPU", it uses only 16 % of it ?

How comes it uses all cores with a so small "intensity" ?

Thank You

In 2015, the apps will reach their 6th birthday, without any improvement.
Ben Wandelt works now in Paris.
The " Department of Astronomy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign" does not care about this project, as they delete emails without reading them.
A solution to have concerned people taking a little bit more care of the crunchers is to STOP crunching on this project.
At least until they give answer to all the questions we posted since ...
etc.
I don't understand the behaviour of the admins.
I don't understand the NSF and NASA support (if real) associated with the lack of information + lack of interactivity of this project.
It's not FAIK's responsability !

Ben, if you have enough time one day to go through the forums, please confirm the project is still alive.

Ciao

Any news concerning new apps and maybe for GPU ?

10 hours for 48000 GFLOPS on 4770K @ 3.9 Ghz seems ... difficult to explain.

Dear Faik,

I hope this message finds you well.

I waited 6 months before asking again ...

Would be really nice to have recent apps, using SSE3, AVX, FMA3, ...
(user's choice or automatic)

As 10 hours for a 48000 GFLOPS WU is ... too long.

But again, I am not an IT specialist => don't know what's behind the name and figures.

Thank You

Best Regards

Philippe

Dear Faik,

Thank you for the update.

Are you planning to improve/modify your applications so they are a bit more compatible with the evolution of CPUs ? (SSE3, AVX, AVX2, ...)

Thank You

Kind regards
