I noticed Boinc MGR telling me Cosmology had about 8 tasks that had a computation error. Some tasks going as much as 8,5 hours in. I don't overclock, but the Ryzen 9 is running quite hot doing cosmology tasks (80C) at 65W. CPU frequency also dropped due to the load on the cpu vs other projects. Eg: World Community Grid sees +4,11Ghz on all cores, at 68-75C temps. Cosmology does 3650-3670Mhz at 78-80C temps. Most of the batches go well, but if it turns out my CPU runs too high, I might need to limit Cosmology tasks on this CPU. Just a bit annoyed by the fact that I've basically spent processing 8 x 8 hours of tasks for nothing. |

I also have a raft of computation errors. I just updated to version 7.16.5. The errors occurred in the first slate of tasks after the upgrade. |

Set no new tasks for this project. You can abort any camb_boinc2docker work units. If you want to let the legacy tasks complete go ahead. I looked at the error log on your work units. Virtual Box is not able to start the virtual machine. Are you only running the Cosmology@home project? You might want to uninstall Virtual Box, reboot and reinstall it. You could also try to reset the Cosmology at home project within Boinc. This will download all the required files again. I just set my computer to run Cosmology again. It is the Win2019 listing. Running Boinc 7.16.5 and VirtualBox 6.1.6. It looks to be running camb_boinc2docker just fine. |

Just checked in on my progress. I am running camb_boinc2docker tasks fine. |

I don't have Virtualbox installed. Ubuntu natively. Haven't immediately found any new errors. |

camb_legacy is a regular Boinc task. camb_boinc2docker requires Virtual Box to run. |

Don't waste your time on camb_legacy. There are posts from the project saying that it is no longer used for anything significant. |

Aside from installing boinc, and running Cosmology, All I need to do is "sudo apt install virtualbox", enable the camb_boinc2docker WUs, and Cosmology will do the rest? |
