Hello, I noticed couple WUs in my results like this http://www.cosmologyathome.org/workunit.php?wuid=18440662 Looks like, that other computer reported this WU after deadline and then my computer was not credited. I think, this situation is a little bit strange and incorrect. |

Good morning as you can see below, the wu's have slightly different numbers and may even be the same unit. However my colleague (ID 182538 finished his on February 24th and I received my wu on the same day. I finished my wu on February 28th (well within the time limit). For some odd reason my result was "marked invalid". Can somebody please explain this to me. Name wu_020815_143159_0_0_0 Computer ID 182538 Received 24 Feb 2015 8:29:08 UTC marked valid Name wu_020815_143159_0_0_1 Computer ID 201802 Received 28 Feb 2015 19:59:01 UTC marked invalid Best regards |

lugal, the name difference is because the first workunit that ended in 0 was the first copy to be sent out and the work unit (yours) ending in 1 was the second copy sent out. Since the project requires two copies for validation, that explains why the names are slightly different. You will find this on all work units. As far as why it failed, you aren't giving enough info to help us help you. If you click on the task id details of the failed work unit, you will find an stderr out with info that helps explain things. It doesn't always have the info needed but that is about the best we have for not being admins/scientists with access to more. ![]() |

Thanks coleslaw for the response. I was away for a couple of days and returned today only. Checking of the items done during recent weeks I discovered that all wu's done this year appear to have been deleted from the list. Only stuff done late last year is still on the list. I don't think its worthwhile to dig deeper at this stage of things and will just forget this particular issue until something similar happens again. Thanks and best regards lugal |
