Cosmo is `back to normal` download errors for me, It was good for a few weeks after the big outage. In fact i may be getting more than a normal quantity download errors now. |

Hello! I am one of your newer members, located in Tampa, Florida. I was trying to download my latest task from y'all (we say that here in the Southern part of America, here on Earth :D) and my system took a nose dive after I fiddled around, deleted stuff I shouldn't have and had to do a restore from 4/11/2012. Mea Maxima Culpa. I found that I had to also restore the new version of BOINC, but my latest task you were sending me failed downloading. I aborted. I am truly sorry, and I have had no problems running both you, and SETI@Home and just about anything else. Please help me help this project; I dearly love doing this and feel badly. If you can re-send the data that is due 4/30/2012, it was trying to download between 4/11/2012 and today, 4/15/2012, 13:00 EDT -5.0 hours GMT. Thanks for all your hard work and your time. I really am enjoying this. If unable to re-send that info, please just let me know at your convenience. And, again, I'll try to keep my little claws out of my O/S. Dear Mary, Welcome to C@H! I lived in North Carolina a few years ago, and I do definitely adore the way people say "y'all" and the way US southerners speak. I have fond memories of the warmth and hospitality of the people who live down there. I have been to Florida, and I wish I could live there one day. It is a great state! Hi Mary - You are doing useful work, just keep crunching. Our system is built to be robust so even when there are work packages you do not complete, or if there are download errors, it's fine for us. Okay, i found something about it (i answer in english now, so everybody can understand it). http://www.boinc-team.de/portal/showtopic.php?threadid=1817&time=1127745473 This austrian guy described in January, that some versions of the BOINC Manager 7.0 cause upload errors. Following that what he has written (i try to translate): Working clients: boinc_7.0.3_windows_x86_64 & boinc_7.0.7_windows_intelx86.exe ( 7.0.5 7.0.6 7.0.7 <<< do not work!!!) Fix: make a XML-File (.xml) with the name "config" Edit the file like this: <dont_generate_upload_certificates/> <ignore_upload_certificates/> Copy the edited File in your Boincfolder (ProgramData/BOINC f.e.) and restart the client. This should the fix the upload error problem. So far the user "plejaden" on the message boards of Boinc@Heidelberg. I have not tested this, because i am still using Boing 6. Please confirm when this has fixed your problem.

I am no longer seeing any upload errors but I still see quite a few download errors
