Erm, could someone please explain why all news articles on the frontpage link to http://www.ukboincteam.org.uk/uk-boinc-team-forum.html ? I can\'t replicate what you\'re talking about. At the time I\'m posting this there are NO news items appearing on the front page. They\'ve periodically appeared and disappeared for a couple months now so I just assumed it was part of the server troubles they\'ve been having. ![]() |

Erm, could someone please explain why all news articles on the frontpage link to http://www.ukboincteam.org.uk/uk-boinc-team-forum.html ? My html skills such as they are indicate this line in the page source might have something to do with it.... <a href=\"http://www.ukboincteam.org.uk/uk-boinc-team-forum.html\"...</div> Just what it is doing there is another matter... My guess is that when the front-page was re-vamped some months ago to use frames a template was sought from within the Boinc community. I don\'t remember seeing the links before so it may have re-appeared during the Raid re-construction last week. Phoneman1 |

You don\'t see the news on cosmologyathome.org on the right side? ;) (On the new black site) If I hover the mouse over a news item, I can see that all items link to http://www.ukboincteam.org.uk/uk-boinc-team-forum.html... I\'m pretty sure that this wasn\'t yesterday, and I just noticed that today\'s user of the day is a member of the UK BOINC Team. Maybe something it his profile is causing this? [edit]Now I\'m pretty sure it is his profile. On the front-page the last sentence of his profile is \"Member of\". If you look at his profile you can see that the sentence should read \"Member of UK BOINCTeam\"... ![]() last.fm BOINC users group ![]() |

Many still use the old design (http://www.cosmologyathome.org/testsite) to be able to read without getting blind. The problem appears only with the new design. mic. ![]() |

[edit]Now I\'m pretty sure it is his profile. On the front-page the last sentence of his profile is \"Member of\". If you look at his profile you can see that the sentence should read \"Member of UK BOINCTeam\"... LOL! A new kind of UOTD-hack! Put a div in your profile and it spans over the frontpage... just poor coding I guess. mic. ![]() |

You don\'t see the news on cosmologyathome.org on the right side? ;) (On the new black site) Yep, it\'s just an empty black box, though if I view the source of the page, it\'s there, just not formatted in a way that it can actually render on the page. I really don\'t feel like parsing the html apart to figure out precisely why, but I guess I can if I happen to get some time on my hands. ![]() |

UBT - NaRyan\'s profile is truncated in the UOTD box, and the last part shown happens to be the opening tag for a link. With no closing tag included, all the following text (the news in this case) becomes part of the link text. A simple design flaw, if text that may contain links is to be truncated, stripping it for links first would be a good idea. |
