thanks Nilian, Being a long-time member, I\'d seen the subject lines in the BOINC message bases, and waited more than 4 days to post. It took 5 tries to post this message here, and there seems to be a definate lack of information either here or elsewhere on when to expect movement on the pages of uploads I\'ve accumulated, or if no expectation, at least some news on progress. That\'s all most tolerant volunteers hope for. That\'s only my inconvenience and frustration. I can only repeat that the situation has not improved, and it does bear repeating. - over, and over, and over. Since I cannot get to the local pages to read those posts without trying for half an hour, as a user, I shall go to other sources. If I have few choices, I can always take it or leave it, I suppose. Thanks again for the links. |

I have been experiencing the same problem. Unfortunately my second choice project (rieselsieve) has been offline for a while. :( I suspect the root of the problem is a far greater number of participants than were expected. This is due to devaluation of processor time by seti. This caused a drop in seti participation. Rather than adjusting their credit up seti then exerted pressure on other projects to adjust their credit rates. As a result there are many users disappointed by prevailing credit rates who are running the few projects who have resisted the pressure. I wish more projects would do so and make it clear that participant processor time DOES have value and that value is NOT decided by seti. |

I am absolutely disappointed with the completely inflated and out of proportion credits rates you get here. Wouldn\'t it be for some valuable science that I hope for I\'d be gone long since this giving credit for next to nothing started. Seconded. mic.

If you\'re not happy with the credits issued, whether in your opinion too high or too low, feel free to crunch for the 80 or so other projects. Seems like a reasonable resolution. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!   |

I didn\'t intend to cause problems. I was trying to offer an explanation for the rate of work completion that seems to be beyond the capacity of the project\'s hardware. |

I didn\'t intend to cause problems. I was trying to offer an explanation for the rate of work completion that seems to be beyond the capacity of the project\'s hardware. This project, SETI, and Einstein have all experienced issues over the past week. This project\'s issues have been, very severe though. Through some sort of sheer luck, I was able to report 11 tasks earlier, but I still can\'t go through my result list to see if any that were past due actually did get credit. I\'ve still got some to upload... As for the upload situation, I don\'t think this is a problem with server hardware, per se. Maybe this is like SETI\'s situation and they need to drop an index to help out the file system? The only other thought I have is some sort of network issue. The messages on the main page seem to indicate that the project administration is oblivious to there being upload problems. If the status page is to be trusted, everything but the results to send and the results in progress is at 0, so hopefully either things will start working better overnight, or someone will start wondering why very few / no tasks are being reported...

I don\'t know what \"makes sense\", but I do know that the forum this morning is VERY responsive. No problems at all getting to my account pages as well... Unfortunately, I can\'t check at this point to see if the 11 tasks I reported yesterday were credited properly, as I have to head out the door... If only uploading would get fixed sometime today..........

At the Cosmology project yes it makes sense since Scott works under the presumption that it\'s better that our Computers are all messed up than it is for the Projects Server to be messed up ... hahaha |

I don\'t worry about not getting the work credited - we always got our cobblestones when there were problems with the server/apps. But, yes, a little more information could easily cool us all down... mic.

Yeah, this is getting a bit crazy since quite a few of my machines appear to be downloading the occasional new WU, but none of them can upload them once they\'re done. They\'re starting to become the \'Roach Motels\' of BOINC... the WU\'s check in, but they never check out!
