2 questions - * how is it calculated, and * how can I figure out how may WUs my system has performed in a day... here\'s my big machine... Number of CPUs 16 Memory 16376.96 MB Measured floating point speed 2783.67 million ops/sec Measured integer speed 8603.1 million ops/sec Average turnaround time 0.58 days Maximum daily WU quota per CPU 200/day Tasks 1912 Number of times client has contacted server 8904 Last time contacted server 1 Jun 2008 15:24:59 UTC % of time BOINC client is running 87.491 % While BOINC running, % of time work is allowed 99.9922 % Average CPU efficiency 0.996742 Task duration correction factor 0.19147 ![]() |

* how is it calculated Number of CPUs multiplied with a project-given constant for the maximum quota (200 here). This quota is reduced with every failed result and increased again with every successful one, but never crosses the maximum. * how can I figure out how may WUs my system has performed in a day... In projects with a quorum > 1 (like this one) : Just by counting them in the result list of that box, as the granted credits pop in a bit randomly. |

* how is it calculated Ananas-You must be thinking of another project as the quorum is 2 here :) So validation may take some time with a 2 initial replication and homogeneous redundacy enabled. |

... (quorum > 1) is true for a (quorum = 2) |

Sorry dyslexic at times. If that happens, when you cross the 50, I will have it too in a few months ;-) |

so - the box in question is hostid=19263 - where is the \'result list\'? ![]() |

...so - the box in question is hostid=19263 - where is the \'result list\'? You can go through your home.php to your computers, where you will find all boxes listed, with links to their tasks Counting all results with credits and the same day under \"Time reported or deadline\" gives you all results finished on that day. |

Real simple....do a 24hr timestamp by scrolling back page for page until you have reached 24 hrs prior from the time you started and that is how many produced in 24 hrs. Are you just looking for someone to calculate it for you?....not gonna be me but there are those who might do that...the ahh researchers looking for interesting stats...especially 16 cores :) |

LOL - maybe I\'m being a bit lazy :) My tasks are assigned at about 45 minutes per cycle, and given 16 CPU\'s and given there are 1440 minutes/day... theoretically, I could push 512 units per day which is 312 more work units than I\'m allowed per system - right? I did a timestamp check and on 5/28 - this machine churned out 357 tasks, and on 5/29 about 190 tasks (but that\'s when everyone started noticing no work) so are work units based per CPU? or per system? My concern is that I have idle time due to maxing out the workload/day limit... ![]() |

16 CPUs times 150 task per CPU = 2,250 tasks per day. |

16 CPUs times 150 task per CPU = 2,250 tasks per day. 150 task per CPU? where\'d that number come from? ![]() |

My concern is that I have idle time due to maxing out the workload/day limit... With 200 WU per day per CPU (or core, because Boinc doesn\'t see the difference) you would have to get very unlucky to run idle by exceeding the daily limit. Theoretically it\'s possible, because some work units take only about 5-10 minutes. But the average is much higher than that. I said unlucky, but in fact you would be lucky. 200x50 = 10000 credits per day per core. And time to spare for another project :D BOINC.BE: For Belgians who love the smell of glowing red cpu's in the morning Tutta55's Lair |

My concern is that I have idle time due to maxing out the workload/day limit... that makes sense if we\'re talking 200 WU / core... thanks! ![]() |
