Has the server been fixed? The 1st time in a month none of my hosts are asking for work...they all got filled up this afternoon and I am not seeing any mysql errors. Can I really hope I am right? :)

Warning: mysql_pconnect() [function.mysql-pconnect]: Too many connections in /home/boincadm/projects/cosmohome/html/inc/db_conn.inc on line 15

I hardly think so Jeff, most of my PC\'s have only about a 1/2 day\'s worth of work on them while I\'m asking for 4 days worth. I\'ll be running another Project by morning if I don\'t get any over night, in fact I\'ll have to set a few up in a few hours or they\'ll be just spinning their wheels & doing nothing ... 0_0

Must be nice, I got 8 WU\'s (2 hours worth) yesterday. That is the only work I\'ve gotten in the last week or two.

I don\'t think anything Scott\'s doing is really helping for more than a 1/2 hour or so, that\'s not to say that he isn\'t trying but it just isn\'t working.

same here... had a few hours of work... but it\'s been like that all week long... now my machines are idling... my fault... no backup project allowed to fetch work.

power savings here now! ;-)

have a good weekend!

One of my crunchers has been asking for work since Friday and hasn\'t gotten any, and now has gone dry.

One or two others aren\'t dry, but have been asking for work...

And no, I don\'t run Cosmo exclusively, so if there\'s no work here, the cpu cycles are going elsewhere. That\'s bad for this project, but good for the other project(s) and BOINC in general. I guess that\'s the way it\'s supposed to work!

This is Freaking Crazy what\'s going on at this Project, I just had the Entire Cache of Wu\'s Aborted by the Project for whatever reason. It looks like I had an Unrecoverable error for a Wu so the Project Aborted that Wu & then generated a new Host CPID & then Aborted the entire Cache of 238 Wu\'s on that Computer.

Then the project has the Audacity to refuse to send anymore work to that Computer because it\'s reached it\'s daily limit of 4 Wu\'s ... 0_o

Hey Scott, whatever you do to MySQL twice a day works for about an hour. Why not do it once an hour?

No wonder. You\'ve only linux Pc\'s.
Most of us have windows as os. For win-platforms there is not enough work to crunch.
Or at least many workunits had operating errors.

I know Poorboy is using all windows and his rac is over 80k.....what errors? Poorboys aborting errors are the only thing that has been said about operating errors.

But that\'s a False RAC, I haven\'t seen that much in day\'s, I only just went over 30,000 for today so far. It\'s not from lack of trying though, it\'s from the Project Refusing to send enough work to keep my Windows PC\'s from running the Project. Right now 75% of my Windows Box\'s are out of Cosmo Wu\'s, the others are getting very low too.

I do have 3 Linux Box\'s finally running full time today though, even they were running 50/50 with another Project but have enough work on them to run 100% for the next day or so depending on how much more they get over that time period.

I had a 4\'th Linux Box running Cosmo to but it ran out and I put it back on Windows to run some other Projects until after Thursday & then see if things are better at the Project.

As far as Error\'s go I can\'t say I\'ve seen any on my Window\'s Box\'s & their all Overclocked 25%-30% @ the time, they were higher but I brought them down some because of the hotter weather ...

One of the problems with work flow right now is that there are too many HR classes. So, I\'ve been doing some testing on CAMB and found out that we can consolidate a number of classes together, which should make it easier to get work without impacting the validation rate much.

If you look at the server status page the work in progress has gone down to 85k from 100+k....when the number increases you know you are making headway :) Looking at the now 200k ready to send ,the problem is not there isn\'t enough work for platforms(even though the message says so)....seems you had this problem last year Scott...how did you solve it last time? Think back.......to me it seemed like it had something to do with the settings for sending the oldest work 1st....not real sure.

The Forum & Account Pages seem to be much faster after the work done by Scott, but the same old problem with getting work still exists. I have PC\'s that still have no work on them, they keep calling for work but get every response from the Server in the book except the proper one > Work Sent ... :)
