pick a box - any box :) Measured floating point speed 2785.39 million ops/sec Measured integer speed 8600.36 million ops/sec all this power and I get these messages in my BOINC client... 4/16/2008 5:33:27 PM|Cosmology@Home|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. I just have to admire the I and FP results that some people get as i get nowhere near them, (measurements are in million operations per second) On \'upgrading\' Boinc Client from 5.10.21 to 5.10.45 on my AMD Opteron 285 (@2.6GHz) Linux FC3 machine my Floating Point speed was 2057 under 5.10.21 now Floating Point speed is 1425 under 5.10.45. Integer speed was 4050 under 5.10.21 now Integer speed is 3167 under 5.10.45. This is now lower than my Opteron 275 (@2.2GHz, running 5.10.21) Linux FC3 machine with Floating Point 1737 and Integer 3458. Other 285 running Linux FC6 and 5.10.21 gets Floating Point 2055 and Integer 3895. Whilst my Windows 285 machine on 5.10.38 gets Floating Point 2631 and Integer 4625. So I don\'t have much faith in the benchmarks, thank goodness for fixed credits. |
