Message 4898 - Posted: 1 Feb 2008, 16:15:10 UTC

Hi all,

I\'ve detached my clients (under instructions via this thread) due to the URL change and the fact that some WUs were NOT uploading.

I then downloaded some more WUs (using the NEW URL) and these are \"stuck\" and won\'t upload either.

So what happens now? Do I detach these? Call it a bad day and do some other projects?

regards

Tim

Tim -Could you copy and paste the messages you are getting on the upload errors so it can be determined exactly what your problem is?

Jeff is right, it must be the URL thing. There is only one open result, which means that the two others must be from prehistoric ages (i.e. from before the URL change).

Those results have been deleted after granting credits for them, as they could not be returned anymore anyway.

So the upshot is I should abort them? What should I do with them. The deadline is Wednesday 7ish PM EST

Is there maybe a permissions problem with your firewall? The work you have appears to be from the new url so it should be good.

The two stuck results will never be accepted anymore and have already received credits, all future results should work fine. The two old ones just don\'t exist on the server anymore and probably have a wrong upload directory in client_state.xml too.

I had the same with some of my results. I had adjusted the path already (edited client_state.xml) but nevertheless all results that have been leftover from before the URL change have been cancelled. I did abort those that my hosts could not upload anymore.

Thanks for the advice. I\'ll just scrap them.

There is something else wrong here.If the deadline is the 14th then you had connected to the new url to get them. The server problems were on the 24th Jan.

Did you check your client_state xml to see if it got corrupted somehow?

Well, I have since re-attached anyways. So that *should* take care of it.

3/6/2008 12:26:32 AM|Cosmology@Home|When convenient, detach this project, then reattach to http://www.cosmologyathome.org/

The work unit uploaded correctly, and I received credit. Should I switch back to www.cosmologyathome.org at this time?

See this thread. Please continue in there.

Locking this one for the moment, before we have multiple threads on the same subject again.
