Looks like my XP pc\'s have reported OK and have credit http://cosmologyathome.org//results.php?hostid=778 Don\'t waste your time uploading anything from before the upgrade...in my opinion...all I get are errors from the old and experimenting with the new before I just let er rip. |

I give up, I just lost about 100 WU\'s (completed, uploaded, but failed to report and were aborted). Cosmo is suspended until it gets straightened out. I only had 12 completed but had the same thing happen here |

So are you saying that I should detach and re attach and loose the days work ?? Does this not say that it will fix itself tomorrow ?? http://cosmologyathome.org/forum_thread.php?id=21&nowrap=true#4621 ![]() |

Short answer yes....longer answer is I have not had anything go through correctly before re-attaching and are awaiting the 1st uploads after re-attaching to see if they work....most of my hosts are suspended at the moment imho....needed network connect for Milkyway so turning off Boinc communications was not an option for me since the url change. That days work is already lost in my opinion...why waste more proccesor time? Scott said the dns refresh was at 1100utc...hasn\'t that already occurred? |

ok ....more confusion...what does this mean Scott? snip.... At 11 PM UTC tomorrow, you may also use http://www.cosmologyathome.org (this currently points to the wrong place UTC is a 24 hour clock there is no am-pm ...was that 1100 or 2300 UTC? |

UTC is a 24 hour clock there is no am-pm ...was that 1100 or 2300 UTC? 11 PM is 23:00 o\'clock. ;-) So we still have to wait... Oops, sorry... Life is Science, and Science rules. To the universe and beyond Member of BOINC@Heidelberg My BOINC-Stats ![]() |

ok ....more confusion...what does this mean Scott? Whoops, that would be 2300 UTC (I\'m too used to central time). Actually, the DNS issue was fixed this morning, so you can use either one now. There won\'t be any redirecting from one to the other, since I don\'t want to repeat these problems. Scott Kruger Project Administrator, Cosmology@Home |

Short story: I\'m cancelling every WU and granting every \"in progress\", \"error\", or \"successful\" result credit. Long story: the old URL is associated with every WU that was released in the 2.04 era, so I have to clear out *all* of them in order for the new results. People are going to get a gigantic amount of credit when this is all done, and I will be making a bunch of new WUs for crunching and things should *finally* be back to normal. Short story: I\'m cancelling every WU and granting every \"in progress\", \"error\", or \"successful\" result credit. Actually, it\'s not going to be that simple... For those of us using older versions of BOINC, specifically those that do not support server-side aborts, such as my version 5.8.16, even though the server side has marked everything \"didn\'t need\" now, my side will continue to work on the task... I held off doing anything with my AMD until just after I saw he had aborted the tasks on the server. I then detached and reattached. I had already reattached on my Intel system, so probably all I\'m going to need to do there is a Reset Project... Anyway, be prepared for more bumps in the road... Might want to make a front page entry for all this... ![]() |

Short story: I\'m cancelling every WU and granting every \"in progress\", \"error\", or \"successful\" result credit. Minor hiccup to report. Although all outstanding WU\'s now show Granted Credit of 100, if the Status is \"Initial\" or \" Checked but no consensus yet\" this is not feeding through to the Results tables - and never will since the validation process will never be completed. Short story: I\'m cancelling every WU and granting every \"in progress\", \"error\", or \"successful\" result credit. Very true. I\'ve been working on this for a while, actually. Mysql wasn\'t letting me update the results table to set the results to \"valid\", so I had to play around with the mysql config files for a while until it relented. ... set the results to \"valid\", so I had to play around with the mysql config files for a while until it relented. Maybe there is a connection between your experiments and this effect (example) : http://cosmologyathome.org/workunit.php?wuid=1053939 All my uncrunched results went to \"didn\'t need\" / \"valid\" with a grant of 100 credits for no work done at all. It doesn\'t show those 100 credits on the WU list but it can be seen in the results and my total credits jumped from 1400 to 3100 |

... set the results to \"valid\", so I had to play around with the mysql config files for a while until it relented. That\'s a side-effect of the process. In ensuring that everybody gets credit for the work they did, everybody will also get credit for work that they didn\'t do, but had in their queues. Scott I am also finding that new work just downloaded is not showing up in my hosts lists of results. Now at server contact they are all being aborted and in the process throwing computation errors at my milkyway work in progress. |
