Ok...I just got back. So what do I do...reattach or what.

thanks

You only have to if you were connected to the old url and if your not sure it won\'t make a difference if you do.If you were detached and waiting just re-attach.

they have never connected exept 1...and yes its the old url

I\'m a little confused, lol. I have 3 systems with 400 easy units. Do I upload all and let the units error out? Or did scot grant all units in my q\'s credit...if thats the case I could have had 3 times the amount in them, lol.

Have 3 dual quads with 250 units and building...I won\'t let them connect and hopefully have work for another day. My advice is DON\'T let them connect and set back for the night to see what shakes out. Well its late ...so all have a good evening.

Another thought-

If I remember right Scott, you made the domain name change back in the Sept-Oct timeframe.....Why are new hosts connected in Dec coming up with xml files that have BOTH domain names in it? Something seems screwy there too...

I am going to take the easy way out ...stay suspended ,,,and wait for a fix...too many hosts to spend that much time editing.

Some of our team members had messages saying wrong cosmo url, please reattach when convient, using wrong url can cause problems, the correct url is WWW.cosmology.org....wording may not be exact but this gives ya an idea

Ok its working again...however now I got this :
Wed 23 Jan 2008 08:58:03 PM CST|Cosmology@Home|Giving up on upload of wu_012008_121054_0_0_0: server rejected file
Wed 23 Jan 2008 08:58:03 PM CST|Cosmology@Home|[file_xfer] Permanently failed upload of wu_012008_121054_0_0_3
Wed 23 Jan 2008 08:58:03 PM CST|Cosmology@Home|Giving up on upload of wu_012008_121054_0_0_3: server rejected file

So anything that was trying to upload since the maint. is now failing

Your saying set tight as its still messed up....yes

Scott are you saying you just changed the domain name during this maintenance? If that is the case and I would have known I would have drained all my work queues before hand as to not loose all this work.

Agreed - just lost a whole bunch of workunits myself on my own quad-core.

So we are good to go and don\'t need to change/edit on our end then...

Never mind. This seems to be the fix:

Either...
a) Re-attach to the project

or

b) Replace every instance of \"cosmos.astro.uiuc.edu\" with \"www.cosmologyathome.org\" in the BOINC configuration files.

Sorry about that, but C@H moved to a different domain which causes these problems.

if we re attach are all the results lost? All my dual quads are loaded...

Perhaps that Scott can do it, but in general it isn't possible to merge accounts. So for now just choose one to crunch with.

That's ok... no worries.
