What gets me is the status shows 7000+ WUs waiting to send, yet my BOINC client keeps saying "No work available." :(

Done. This work is very different, though. We increased the precision settings and made a number of other changes, the result being that WUs take 1 hour as opposed to 10 seconds. This might not work so well, though, so we're only making a small test batch.

Those of us who have been through the beginnings of so many other projects say bring it on! :D

And when all else fails...

BORG-
I'm currently looking into this issue. It's a problem that others have reported with Windows 98, so thank you for bringing it to my attention that this also affects XP.

Acme-
For our first release, we are using a legacy application using BOINC's wrapper program. Therefore, checkpointing is not implemented and won't be for the foreseeable future. The app should be reporting progress, though, so I'll check that out as well.

With the short WUs I am not too concerned about the checkpointing. But thanks for the info.

I just got this on a "newer, shorter" WU.

Is that based upon a Pentium D 2.8 or what are you basing it upon?

Well, I ran it on our web server which I think is a dual Xeon with about 6 Gb of RAM, so your results may vary =)

Oh for the days when my system was TOTL.

So, when the epoch counter was 3...

So the ones that are 'scheduled' to run 1+ hours should be aborted? Mine's been running for 1h10min, and shows 0% progress, with a run-time of over 1 hour still to go.

That's just fine. The results should still be valid and worth anywhere between 10-20 credits, if you are intent on finishing it.

My laptop is still going after a little over 2 hours =)

Even though they're not showing any progress? Is that correct for this project's WUs? I ended up aborting it.

This is a result of me setting the accuracy settings too high on the first set of test workunits I just created. These WUs took far too long to run, and as a result, some hosts rejected them.

I just changed the input parameters to be a little more forgiving, which will result in each WU taking around 10 mins or so to complete.

Thank You!
Quick answered!

Here we go again , when more wu's will be available, quite soon I hope!
