Ben, Scott, Anshul?
Have you already checked if there are permission problems, like Ananas suggested it?

I also had a lot of download errors lately, and just tried to download a WU manually and also got a 403 forbidden error.

The file I tried to download is params_101908_012148_0.ini.
BOINC manager shows a HTTP error, and if I try to download the file with Firefox from http://www.cosmologyathome.org/download/340/params_101908_012148_0.ini , I get a nice site which tells me -

Forbidden

You don\'t have permission to access /download/340/params_101908_012148_0.ini on this server...

Could you PLEASE check that? The download errors are really getting annoying... ;)

I also had some 1018 units today that had download errors.
It\'s the same like with the older 1010 units, all I can see is that they get a HTTP error...

Was a problem with the logrotate daemon again; just fixed it.

Setting credit at 140 for now, we\'ll see how that works out.

It doesn\'t look like it\'s really fixed .

Then why are you hiding your credits at PS3GRID?
Don’t they “give ridiculous amounts of credit for their WUs”

Just to make one thing clear before the credit Cops arrive over there -
There\'s nothing wrong with the credits given from PS3GRID/GPUGRID. They use FLOP counting.
It\'s only that a PS3 or a NVIDIA GPU is a little bit faster than a normal CPU... ;)

I can\'t replicate what you\'re talking about. At the time I\'m posting this there are NO news items appearing on the front page.

They\'ve periodically appeared and disappeared for a couple months now so I just assumed it was part of the server troubles they\'ve been having.

You don\'t see the news on cosmologyathome.org on the right side? ;) (On the new black site)
If I hover the mouse over a news item, I can see that all items link to http://www.ukboincteam.org.uk/uk-boinc-team-forum.html...

I\'m pretty sure that this wasn\'t yesterday, and I just noticed that today\'s user of the day is a member of the UK BOINC Team. Maybe something it his profile is causing this?

[edit]Now I\'m pretty sure it is his profile. On the front-page the last sentence of his profile is \"Member of\". If you look at his profile you can see that the sentence should read \"Member of UK BOINCTeam\"...

Yea, actually I could swich back the Xeon dual Quad from 6.1.17 to 5.10.45, because I can only use the other Linux box for the coprocessor testing, but I think BOINC 6.x.x clients will be the recommended clients very soon, so it would maybe a good idea to fix this error... ;)

As for the overclaiming - I haven\'t noticed higher benchmarks with BOINC 6, and actually I don\'t really watch them because most of the projects I crunch for use fixed credits... Maybe they meant Crunch3r´s 6.0.1 - this one is sure overclaiming...

-Edit- Just got work on both boxes... :)

Hi Scott!

On both my Linux 64 bit hosts I get the message that CAMB is not available for my type of computer... Could you please have a look at what´s wrong with the server?

I know this message only from an alpha project that uses the coprocessor support - therefore I have to use BOINC 6.x.x clients on those computer, maybe this is what confuses the server?

Thanks!
Stefan

Whatever you did, it\'s a little bit better now. Now I got -

Well... normaly I don´t care that much about credits, but something has to be done now with those short WUs!

My average claim on all computers for the new WUs is about 13-15 credits and they get still 100 credits granted...
