I have around 17 work units all marked as invalid, With another 4 still on the pending list. Of those 17, they are all application version 1.20, And it seems that only 2 of the 6 crunchers were granted the credit for each work unit, while the others are marked as Invalid and Zero Credits. Any idea if the ones marked invalid using pplication version 1.20 will still be credited, Or not ? Just courious.

Just an update on the invalid issue, Got it on a work unit sent on 10 Jul 2007 : 118764

/Edit/ Could have been on my end, As I think I had one wu that had gotten suspended, Thus with no checkpointing yet, Might had caused to Zero Credit. /Edit/

Strange as on my AMD Dual Core, I haven't noticed any increase at all since 1.19. If anything perhaps a tiny increase in wu length, But to close to really call for sure on that one.

Don't worry Scott, Compared to other projects that I worked with going through the early phases of their Alpha, Yours is running smoother than alot of them, With less bugs off hand that I see. :)

For now, I would just suggest leaving it at 6 as you have it, As this is in Alpha stage at the moment, Im sure there are other issues of more importance to deal with. And later on when there are more data to compare too, You can decide whether to up the c/wu, Or completely change it to something else. You still have Beta to work things out after Alpha. ;) My original issue was the Linux os was running so much faster per work unit, That it was causing me to get get less than one credit per work unit done on some of them, And not the faster for sure, A 3800x2 should be worthy of a little more than that regardless of its OS. HeHe But being at 5,and now 6, Issue solved on that one. :)

I thought I didn't remember seeing this thread listed before hehe. I also add my applause thus far on a job well done by Scott here for Cosmo, With BOINC crunchers that respect each others opinions and or ideas (even if they may not agree with all of them) Like the ones we have had here so far, Coupled with the fact of having an Admin such as Scott that listens, Answers, And communicates his thoughts and ideas and or future plans on how the project is going, This makes the project one heck of a nice place to participate in, And hopefully will stay as such on into Beta and Beyond !

I guess at the hopes that the 5.5.0 doesnt make an apperence again,

G^R

It can't. It's below the project minimum version. Of course there is the 5.9.0 replacement.

Does it also overclaim as 5.5.0 does ?

5 is alot better than the occasional .90 I was getting for some wu's. I guess at the hopes that the 5.5.0 doesnt make an apperence again, You could always go with the higher of the two quorum instead of the lower, At least the slower pc's would get their full credit, And the faster one's would get the bonus. But waiting a few weeks is fine by me eitherway. Thanks !
