A reduction to 30-40 would likley cause the same situation that occured at milky way. cosmo has always been a high paying project why look for reasons to change that at this late stage. 80 is low enough.

Yes Cosmo has always been a high paying project, but is it good?

I think that reduction to 30-40 credits per WU will be better in the long time period. 80 is still a high.

Warning
New WUs are 3 - 5 times shorter than previous ones. This is good for credit hunters but I am not sure whether is it good for the project. Further there is substantial increase in WUs where quorum of 2 tasks is not enough to decide which one is correct.

It reminds me the situation in Einstein project approx. 1 year ago when thanks to optimisation the calculation shortened to the extent where servers were unable to deal with flood of finished WUs.

I think that a lot of credit hunters are joined to MilkyWay@home project :)

Sorry if the above looks like a mess.
Its the messages I got for the last 4 units that I downloaded and which quickly errored out.

Vista operating system.

I have the same problem on Win XP machine (wuid 461607, 461357, 461145)
