This same answer should apply.

This is no place for that kind of junk.

All ideas are welcome. There is no need for such disrespectful reaction.

Your reaction is disrespectful.

0 CPU time is a known BOINC problem with Windows 9x. The best fix is to have FLOPS counting used at the project.

Sure, and even some projects fixed the problem in their application.
Usually the problem is that the timer thread doesn't start, so the cpu time = 0.
But here, the cpu time is negative.
I would like to know how the problem can be the same.

I would say "no".

Win98 reporting 0 CPU time has been reported in several projects.

One note. How difficult would it be to do Flops counting? Is there some loop counter that could be multiplied by a constant to get a fairly good estimate of the FLOPS? If it is not too much effort, this is a better method for granting credits as is is much more stable. S@H has had to modify the code so that the lowest routines pass up a flops count. There is another project (still in pre-alpha) that has a top level loop counter that works well.

That sounds a little bit different from the "usual" 0 cpu time under Win9x.
Cpu time is negative. Is it really the same problem (timer thread) ?

Hello,
on my second laptop every WU crashes. The only difference to the other laptop (where every WU finishes without an error) is an older version of Boinc.

yoyo

I was having the same problem with my Linux laptop a while back (every WU gave error -185). Downloading the newest version of BOINC fixed the problem. Try doing that once the BOINC website comes back up.

Are you using the Boinc wrapper for your application ?
If yes, you need at least a CC 5.5.1
