Here is a fun game that we could play: each one of us votes for ten profiles that they like. After doing that, the person could write a response to this post to let us know they have done that---if they prefer.

This will be a great way to get to know a little bit more about the members Cosmology@Home community.

You could file the users' profiles here.

Best regards,

Faik

I think, we've got just a too small active community for such a game. Don't be disappointed.
It is relative silent actually, but it's a good silence. No issues, no problems.
The WUs flow stable, weather is warm, there is European Soccer Championship.

In Germany we call it "Sommerloch" (Summer Hole)

That makes sense, Dennis!

I hope you are enjoying the Euro!

Well, I do, although my favourite teams have already left the EURO 2012.
Ireland was great, Eire and Alba are always great to watch, because of the atmosphere and the real physical soccer.
My hopes go now to Ukraine :)

I'm unsure how to play this game exactly.
I didn't understand your explaination completely.

I shall choose 10 profiles which i like - and then?

I wrote it funny. Hope you like it.

Mellowman
Anthony. For obvious reasons. When he has showed any humour, then it was black. So I think he would laugh about following thought – there were always guys who have heared RocknRoll till they die, or drunk alcohol, or died in the soccer stadium or while being together with a woman. The Mellowman died crunching.

Ben, the creator
Ben. The “creator” of C@H, coming from the town where trousers are sometimes dead. I like his signature in the message boards. Using the word “creator” in a project like this, is a little bit funny. I can’t explain exactly why.
However, he’s one of the nice scientists in the crunching world, although you will think about time dilation when he uses expressions like “asap”. Sometimes he is hard to reach (in terms of communication), but it’s still easier than with the singer of my favourite band.
He has obviously some kind of notebook since a couple of years, instead of a fully grown up machine. Because he doesn’t crunch anymore.

Faik
Faik. The message board guy. He once was the leader of the Algerian Cruncherteam in C@H, which consisted of Faik and himself. He actually has joined the U.S. Navy. He’s a nice and calm guy and he collects links to scientific homepages and articles. There are several prizes which describe the worth of a scientific article. “Linked by Faik” is nearly equal to Nobelprize. Nearly.

Brian Silvers
The shadow from the past. In Terms of the Internet, C@H is an “old” project. That means it has history and you can investigate this history by prowling through older posts in the message boards. There was a time when C@H was completely on autopilot and Brian was one of those ghosts who answered questions of other users or gave hints and advices.
He disappeared one day because of increasing energy costs.

Conan
You can find Conan in several projects (and message boards). The guy from Downunder is often constructive involved in threads which go on the hunt for errors. I don’t know him personally, but I think he’s cool.

zombie67
zombie67 is a monster of crunching power. Every project I go, zombie67 is already there. It’s crazy! And his equipment is awesome. Although I can not know, I think he uses at least one old Supermicroserver, as I do too. Besides all these I7s of course…
I like his Avatar which he uses in message boards sometimes.

Sebastian*
I call him “The Phantom”. Know nothing about him, besides his sometimes shown machines and their awesome output. I sometimes speculate about his job. He is probably a millionaire or an IT-Professional or just an Administrator gone mad.

Cesium_133
Cesium_133 is a funny guy. I think most of us know him because he spreads pics of Hayley Westenra through all the message boards of several projects. Don’t wanna know how much nerdkids fell in love with Cesium_133 – until they noticed that the girl on the pic is not Cesium_133 himself.

ScottSLeach
The ultimative ragequitter. We laughed very much together. Me and my wife. About him. Hrm.

Clive G1FYE
Clive G1FYE. That is no name, thats is his serialnumber. He is no human, he is a protocol droid. The “creator” has build him to keep Faik busy. He speaks ca. 3 000 000 Languages and knows probably 10^32 words.
He rules the Word Link thread.

Dennis, my attempts to start an Algerian team have not been very successful so far. But we will see ;)

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this!

I do belive someone above is having a laugh :¬)

Now then,
Excuses for taking so long to reply.

I was digging the garden and fell down a wormhole, it took me 137 years to get back.

The MiB stopped me and asked if i had a licence to be on this planet.

I had to hide for a while, the government want to see what makes me tic.

I had to spend some time deleting signals from the seti@home database,
they caught on the phone to my Mum.
