I am very glad to hear that!

Now may be at least partially fixed - I have a workunit that got all of its input files and has been running for over 6 hours now.

Only partially fixed, though - I've now received one more workunit downloaded properly and an additional six where the downloading failed.

I can tell you that workunits that miss their deadline are send out again to other clients.

So the best thing to do would be to not accept work until the upload problem gets fixed.

And those workunits will either fail to download properly, or be returned as errors, once the upload problem is corrected.

I allowed my oomputers to continue getting work, but they didn't get any more before the uploads problem was apparantly fixed today. Now let's watch to see if the validator problem that made the disk space fill up was also fixed.

An idea for how to control the missing .ini file problem: Modify the program on the server for downloading workunits so that it will check for the existance of whatever .ini file te workunit uses, and if it can't find that file, refuse to send that workunit.

Getting what appears to be a related error:

11/05/2012 01:12:17 | Cosmology@Home | [error] MD5 check failed for params_051012_032014_1.ini

Clearly it's an MD5 hash key problem, in my case.

I've seen something similar in the last weeks on windows machines, attached to several projects. F.e.:
10.05.2012 15:36:23 | yoyo@home | [error] File harmtree_0.06_windows_intelx86.exe has wrong size: expected 214016, got 0
10.05.2012 15:36:23 | yoyo@home | [error] Checksum or signature error for harmtree_0.06_windows_intelx86.exe

The message is not exactly the same, but i'm still using another Boinc-Clientversion than skgiven.

There is a possibility, that this error is not related with our cosmo-download-error, although of course it is an error.

Hi,

I have just rejoined the project and found the same ini file problem that made me chrunch elsewhere before.

It has indeed existed for a very long time.

I will soon jump ship again as I like to lock and load the box and then leave it to do its work.

I plan my soon dispersal to another project after completing the work load I have on this project.

No new work is now allowed.

Regards to all crunchers
