Why won't they answer the question on why their remaining times are increasing rather than decreasing?

Time remaining is an estimate by the boinc software. You could go to the Boinc forums for a better explanation on it. If you had a bunch of small work units and the received large ones, it take a while for the numbers to adjust.
This task shows it was aborted by one user but completed by another. It does have a long run time

Yes it takes time for the BM to adjust the estimates. It's working ok for me.

Hi Paulie,

Apologies I haven't responded sooner. The problem is that camb_legacy is so old its barely supported, and I'm really not sure what's going on in your case. I should have at least let you know I had read your message, just that I don't have a solution, sorry. A more long term solution is to look into running the camb_boinc2docker app if you are able to do so.

if the legacy wus use the vbox then it could be something wrong with the wu getting stuck in it when you run another project that uses the vbox. i had this problem with universe@home -
wu would get stuck, they would run but not progress. i found that happening when i would
run lhc@home before or during. stop running other projects that use vbox, abort all legacy wu
download fresh ones and then try it.
this problem i have with a pc running windows ten vbox 5.1.24
it seems not to happen on my pc running windows seven vbox 4.2.16
