Since 20070712 I have a quantity (approx. 100) of pending credits. Secondary WUs seem to be the reason. The "Server state" is "unsent". I think that's unusual. Hmm, first in, last out? ... not realy, or?

This is ok. I had somewhat 900 credits pending. It's down to 450 now. Scott has changed the initial replication. It's been discussed here already. Don't worry, you'll get your credits very soon.

At Einstein I have always around 2500 pending credits, 100 is nothing ;-)

I've had as much as 325,000 Pending Credits at a Project before, it's just something you have to get used to with the BOINC Projects ... :) ... My most recent high pending credit was @ the Seti Astro Project, around 34,000, it's down to less than 1000 now, so you do eventually get the credit but it can take time once in awhile ...

It's especially quite normal behaviour in times like these.

Wait util Scott has sorted it out today in the morning.

Hi there, two weeks and a short holiday later...

OK, things changed. From "Server state" "unsent" to "Didn't need". Older WUs are not no more needed.
Hmm, my result List? When it will shrink?
Hmm, my pending Credits? What will happen with that?

And PLEASE! I'm NOT a 24/7. Wrong threat, i know. But please don't make the WUs too big.

A lot of the old "pending" results weren't sending out a second result, for some reason. I went and awarded all of those successful results credit and cancelled the WUs. So, you probably got credit, but it will seem like you didn't.

G'day Scott - the AMD 2800+ (computer ID: 692) that I mentioned the other day had a couple of hundred old short WU's on it, has now had the second job that was marked "unsent" now changed to marked as 'not needed' and my work is all marked pending though successful.

Is all this work lost?

Well, not all of them were manually fixed (only any WU starting with "wu_071"). I'm not sure why those are being ignored, but the only suspects are the validator and the transitioner. I'm still investigating this.

Here's my bunch of pending (or not). I can't tell whether they got granted and just remain there as nominal members in my account, iirc they all began with wu_0718, but I'm not 100% sure, just about 95%, and I don't want to check it again.

Looks to me like they have all been Cancelled by Scott, you may have already recieved the Credit though per Scott's Post.

A lot of the old "pending" results weren't sending out a second result, for some reason. I went and awarded all of those successful results credit and cancelled the WUs. So, you probably got credit, but it will seem like you didn't.

Yes. For some reason, they are still showing "pending", even though I've granted credit for them. Anyway, the database keeps records for a week, so they should go away after a while.

Firstly thanks Scott for all the pendings I had (over 1200 WU's), and I'm now wondering if I can put my turion laptop back on the job?

I dont want have it working away if the same "flying solo" issue happens again....but I do want that machine on there if possible.

Thanks in advance

Your Turion should be good to go; I've made it equivalent to the Athlon 64.

You may have already said this, but did you also make the Athlon equivalent to the Athlon 64? Would that work? Thanks!

The Athlon is equivalent to the Athlon XP. If that isn't working out, I'll move it to the Athlon 64.

My validations have picked up steam since you made the "equivalent" change to Athlon XP, although some of my earlier units (week of July 22nd) remain "unsent".

I guess my thought would be, if your results are still acceptable if you also made the Athlon equivalent to the Athlon 64, what would be the harm in doing so? Results would validate that much quicker, which I guess would be a benefit to the overall project?

Thanks as usual for your attention to us crunchers! :)

Just as a for instance, and I realize they are totally different apps with perhaps totally different HR requirements, but I noticed that this unit from another project that uses HR was successfully processed by an Athlon, Athlon XP, and Athlon 64 processor!

Just saying that making Athlon processors all HR equivalent might work for CAMB? Thanks!

Not here. Comso apps are only available for Windows 32bit, Linux 32bit and Linux 64bit.
The applications are the same for all 32bit versions of the same OS.

but I noticed that this unit from another project that uses HR was successfully processed by an Athlon, Athlon XP, and Athlon 64 processor!

The same thing happens there on Lattice. The 64bit AMD crunched with a 32bit application. Lattice only has 32bit applications, no 64bit versions.

Besides, the 64bit AMD there uses Boinc 5.8.16, which is only available as 32bit flavour.

Strictly spoken, for HR the Athlon and Athlon XP (plus MP) are one class. The Athlon 64 is another class.
