Thanks for pointing this out. Just because the page header information is not being displayed though does not mean you cannot work on the page. You should still be able to update community prefs without any issues. Nevertheless, I will try and fix this up as quickly as possible. |

Thanks for pointing this out. Just because the page header information is not being displayed though does not mean you cannot work on the page. You should still be able to update community prefs without any issues. That's not what the error means. It is not talking about a page header as in what we can see. It happens on update (form submission). The error happens and preferences are not updated. I just tried it myself... ![]() |

This happens sometimes if your system is under high load. Try resetting the project. It should go away. |

I have a wu that got sort of get stuck at 60%. The wu stated, jumped back to 59% and when it reached 60% got stuck again. I manually halted the rest of the wu's I had running but it seam at first that it would stay on 60% forever until it suddenly jumped to 90%. The wu's are still using a lot of memory, 666.476 MB,and 75460 I/O readings. I will try to finish this wu and then I will stop running Cosmos. IMO. Cosmos is currently, at best, only an @ application. This is the messages displayed during the repeated start and stop. 2009-04-30 10:32:36|Milkyway@home|Computation for task ps_s22_15_7458636_1241079662_0 finished 2009-04-30 10:32:36|Cosmology@Home|Restarting task wu_042709_084720_2_0_0 using camb version 216 2009-04-30 10:32:36|Milkyway@home|Starting ps_s22_15_7458637_1241079662_0 2009-04-30 10:32:36|Milkyway@home|Starting task ps_s22_15_7458637_1241079662_0 using milkyway version 19 2009-04-30 10:32:36|Milkyway@home|Starting ps_s22_15_7458638_1241079662_0 2009-04-30 10:32:36|Milkyway@home|Starting task ps_s22_15_7458638_1241079662_0 using milkyway version 19 2009-04-30 10:32:36|Milkyway@home|Starting ps_s22_15_7458639_1241079662_0 2009-04-30 10:32:36|Milkyway@home|Starting task ps_s22_15_7458639_1241079662_0 using milkyway version 19 2009-04-30 10:32:38|Milkyway@home|Started upload of ps_s22_15_7458635_1241079662_0_0 2009-04-30 10:32:38|Milkyway@home|Started upload of ps_s22_15_7458636_1241079662_0_0 2009-04-30 10:32:40|Milkyway@home|Finished upload of ps_s22_15_7458635_1241079662_0_0 2009-04-30 10:32:40|Milkyway@home|Finished upload of ps_s22_15_7458636_1241079662_0_0 2009-04-30 10:33:13|Milkyway@home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. CAMB 2.16 has a memory leak. Running BOINC 6.6.28 under Vista Ultimate SP1. The workunit is wu_051609_124617_4_1_0, if that matters. When CAMB 2.16 runs, it gradually fills available memory until it hits 100%. Windows then pages like a mofo, making the computer entirely unusable. Once it has finished paging stuff out of memory, everything runs fine for a little while, until the memory is filled again. |

Do you really think this is a buffer overflow and ends with a bluescreen? This happened since a few weeks mostly everyday. camp 2.16 use a lot of ram use boinc 6.4.5 It's only a problem with vista, not xp. |

I have a silelar problem with wu_070109_063008_3_0_0. It gets to about 67% then resets to 60% again. Looks like there is some kind of problem here ... Allan |

I have a silelar (?) problem with wu_070109_063008_3_0_0. It gets to about 67% then resets to 60% again. This problem is well known and references to it have appeared in this thread and elsewhere for several months. Your 60% will, I believe, have returned to where it was before, after running the unit for a few minutes. It doesn't seem to cause any lasting problem and, I suspect, the people running the project take the view that there are plenty of more important things to spend their time fixing at present. Like the excessive memory requirements. |

I have a silelar (?) problem with wu_070109_063008_3_0_0. It gets to about 67% then resets to 60% again. I suspect that having more frequent checkpoints woul help. The unit I am processing is taking all the resources (it appears to get processing time in prefrerence to any other Boinc project) and what's more today it has restarted about 80 times in 7 hours!!! Restarting of units in this way sure does cut down on the processing completed. Allan |

What can be the meaning of this? 17-7-2009 21:54:28 Cosmology@Home Message from server: (won't finish in time) BOINC runs 42.5% of time, computation enabled 100.0% of that |

That's a bug in either the client or the server software that the BOINC Devs are still trying to get fixed. You can try a project reset or two, to see if that fixes it, and else go back to a previous BOINC version for now. |

Similar messages I did get at other forums, of other projects within Seti@home - such as Seti itself, Milkyway@home and Einstein@home. Therefore I will install Boinc new software anew. But at this moment I crunch one project of ClimatePrediction. And I will finish this first to the end, so that I don't lose the credits of that work. (At now a 600 hours to do.) After renewal of Boinc I return to all my other work, as e.g. Cosmology@home! /raimond detempe |

REading several project forums I conclude a probleem with the newest version BOINC 6.6.36. See also the new BOINC WIKI. So I tried the following: deinstall the Boinc program (remove it). And download an somewhat earlier version: 6.4.7 Now downloading works. If it was the whole problem, I can see after a day, when soms WU's are completed, and the manager askes for new work. /raimond detempe |

Yes, it works on the manner I did expect. Now can I say that it was the good solution to install the last version of BOINC software before 6.6.36 . I did install 6.4.7 and things go as I hoped for! Cheers! /raimond detempe |
