Well, I\'ll definitely be happy when they turn off HR completely because I\'m getting this old message again on 2 of my computers now.

Here\'s the rub:

According to this thread, HR \"is gone\".

Problem:

Front page news says

October 10, 2008 Work today
Making some work today (for the main app) to test the new HR system. If the work starts to come back properly, then we\'ll start making more.

OK, so HR is supposedly gone, but new work was created to test the new HR system?

Does that really mean that new work was created to test the new validation system, or do we really have HR still running around and the quorum of 1 is just a temporary measure?

Hi all,
We still have over 4000 WUs for a test application still in the queue. Because they were testing a new HR system, we no longer need them so they will be canceled.
We are going to be releasing new (real) WUs so you should see a regular WU flow soon. If you have any questions feel free to let me know.

Hi!
This is my first post here in Cosmology.
I don\'t know if this is the right thread for my question. If not, you can move it.

I\'m getting these two groups of messages:

I would recommend just aborting those downloads and trying to see if another workunit will download.

If the problem happens again immediately, then there\'s a problem with the project server and you\'ll just need to check back here to find out when they\'ve taken care of it.

Hi!
This is Anshul Kanakia, I am the new Administrator for Cosmology@Home. Its great to have a new addition to our project, thank you for participating!
We started generating new work units last Friday but some users seem to be experiencing problems downloading them. I am looking into the matter as we speak and will notify you as soon as the issue has been taken care of.

The name of the work unit implies it is from July (07/24/08) of this year. We have actually deleted all of those older work units due to project upgrades. Please try to download new work units that were created last Friday and let me know if the problem still persists.
Hope this helped! ^_^

Hi!
Thank you all for your help!
As Thunder said, I aborted the WU and let the client try another download.
It\'s trying since Friday 17 to download two WU, but no success.

21/10/2008 14.55.11|Cosmology@Home|Started download of params_101308_221749_1.ini
21/10/2008 14.55.12|Cosmology@Home|Started download of params_101208_230540_0.ini
21/10/2008 14.55.12|Cosmology@Home|Temporarily failed download of params_101308_221749_1.ini: HTTP error
21/10/2008 14.55.12|Cosmology@Home|Backing off 2 hr 55 min 25 sec on download of params_101308_221749_1.ini
21/10/2008 14.55.13|Cosmology@Home|Temporarily failed download of params_101208_230540_0.ini: HTTP error
21/10/2008 14.55.13|Cosmology@Home|Backing off 3 hr 1 min 29 sec on download of params_101208_230540_0.ini

Now, I can understand from their names that also these two were made before the Anshul operation; so, I stop their download and see what happens, and let you know.

Thank you again!
