I had only one WU in the last 18 days, but I don\'t find any announcements about a shutdown or any server trouble on this site, except that the server status indicates many WUs ready to go, and some in progress, but none further in the pipeline. What\'s going on?

However, chatter over at BoincStats seems to suggest that someone with knowledge & experience has been persuaded to help out or even come on board. Quite why said person would drink from this poisoned chalice is beyond me - however, if true, it can only be good for the project and the serially abused crunchers.

I\'d be happy to come back - but more of the same isn\'t an option.

While I agree that the lack of information killed much of this project, I can\'t tell you what is going on, only that something is going on. As for the rumors, there\'s truth in them as well, though again I can\'t elaborate on what is true or not. Sometimes it sucks being in the loop.

All this posted in the hopes that Admin will release the information at some point this week.

We mods are not in the habit of spreading false rumors and hope the little information we can give you can be enough for now. Thanks-Jeff

More to counter the negativism taking over. It\'s not a secret per se, it\'s just something us moderators have agreed upon: We want the project to give out the news, not us.

Mircale Worker? Yeah, well, so far this project has resembled the world stock markets...what goes up eventually comes crashing down. But unlike the stock market I can\'t make any money (credits) when the project is down.

Kidding aside, even if the project comes up and runs smoothly I now will/still have nagging questions about whether the project is serious about generating useable scientific data. The lack of oversight, communication and expeditious resolution of the problems has me wary about contributing any further. So if the project wants to fight \"negativism\" then produce something positive to change our minds and make it sustainable.

And please, get rid of that new black web design and reinstate something sane and less painful on my eyes (IMO, of course).

It does appear that the project is not devoting sufficient resources to make this a top-notch, viable project, although it is still in Beta. However, once it does go into \"production\" mode, it will need much greater focus of attention and commitment of sufficient resources to make it viable. Hopefully after all the \"lessons learned\" during this Beta process, the project will be committed to fixing what went wrong.
