I only got 3 WU\'s on one machine, but they all immediately errored out. <core_client_version>5.10.45</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> CreateProcess() failed - </message> ]]> All 3 did the same thing. Only 1 other machine managed to download any before they ran out. I\'ll report here once they start with any results. ![]() |

Crossed posts in another thread, but I got 27 of the new WUs that all errored out immediately. ![]() Calm Chaos Forum...Join Calm Chaos Now |

Just got another batch that errored, thought I\'d provide the messages for a WU.

I received two new workunits for the updated application. Alas, both of them failed after running about 2 seconds. This will continue for every new workunit received until this is fixed! |

I received two new workunits for the updated application. Alas, both of them failed after running about 2 seconds. Thankfully the WU\'s are set for a max of 3 errors, so at most they will replicate 4 tasks and once the 3rd errors out, the 4th will be marked unneeded and it won\'t try to generate another task from that WU. Sadly this is going to create a huge amount of database entries for nothing. I know the boinc WU generator has the capability to generate single taks for in-house testing. I\'m thinking it might be a good idea to try that next time. :P ![]() |

I have one system that is still begging for work. I finally got one work unit and it came with the CAMB 2.13 app. It faulted immediately on startup. Cosmology@Home 7/22/2008 8:07:30 PM Starting wu_072208_173844_0_3 Cosmology@Home 7/22/2008 8:07:30 PM [error] Process creation failed: |

It has been suggested before Thunder....the problem is Scott said the run test applications feature did not work right as we have tried it.....the best suggestion is set up a secondary testing website and announce it so those that wish to test will give the project ample feedback before releasing to all the participants. |

If you do set up a testing website, count me in. ![]() Calm Chaos Forum...Join Calm Chaos Now |

Well, that\'s disappointing, but thanks for letting me know. I vaguely remember when Predictor@Home was still live, they had a collection of 3-4 computers (I seem to remember like 1 win, 1 linux, 1 mac/ppc at least) that they used as crash-test dummies for WUs. Obviously I have no idea how they did it, but I think somehow they generated test WUs and fed them only to those. Perhaps they were doing it with an in-house parallel site. Hey Cosmo guys! I\'ve got a couple old Compaq P3/500s laying around. They boot and they\'ll run windows and linux! You could abuse them in-house all you want! ;) [edit]They did live for 6 years of service in a restaurant though, so degreasing/cleaning is on you... sorry. ;)[/edit] In any case, I\'m with Labbie. I\'d gladly attach a machine or two to a test site if that would help avoid future \"oopsies\". :D ![]() |

Platform and OS, please. These are also created with brand-new BOINC libraries. Maybe there was some change that I didn\'t hear about? Scott Kruger Project Administrator, Cosmology@Home |

Platform and OS, please. Q6600 on Vista x64 here. In one of the slots\\ dir\'s, I can see a camb_2.13_windows_intelx86.exe which is about 1kb large. Perhaps that\'s the issue? |
