Am getting tasks sent to me with suffix _2 ... guess what that means?

At least your getting Wu\'s sent to you, I don\'t think any of my Box\'s are getting any new work for some reason. Their calling for work but the Server isn\'t sending any. Not sure if Scott has the Downloads turned off or not ... ???

PS: Belay that, I actually did see 3 Cosmo Wu\'s being Downloaded to 1 of my Box\'s, so I guess I\'m getting some every now & then ... :)

BUT, I believe that all the rest of those other 50 + WU\'s predated before July 15 are gone....

Stan, from looking @ your Computer it looks like you are cutting it to close to the Deadlines for the Wu\'s for some reason, I can only surmise that either your Computer isn\'t on full time or your trying to run a lot of different projects at the same time.

You had some Wu\'s that are due today still sitting on your Box waiting to run, with the Projects 9 or 10 day Deadline that shouldn\'t really happen. I don\'t know your situation so can\'t tell you what to do about it other than to cut down on the # of Projects your trying to run @ once or Increase you Resource Share to the Cosmology Project.

I\'m not Harping on you but just trying to give you a few Pointers on how to not have the Wu\'s get so close to their Deadlines ... :)

He could\'ve had the same issue of not being able to upload. All you can see by looking at the computer\'s list is the time that the result was reported, not when it was completed on the local machine, thus the amount of time between completion and reporting is also an unknown. Several results that I reported last night had been complete for days.

If it were not for the problems with the project, then perhaps you could draw the conclusion that the system is running into allocation issues, but right now, most any reporting is going to be days after the fact...and through no fault of the user...

I think you have misunderstood Poorboy somewhat, Brian. Stan has already said that he has uploaded/reported all of his completed WUs, yet, he still has WUs on his machine that are due today. Meaning they are not yet completed. Meaning that he is cutting it fine with the deadlines.

What you say about WUs with deadlines prior to today, however, is correct.

Personally I only keep 0.6 days worth of WUs on my machine so all are finished within 1 day. This leaves plenty of time to upload/report and means that if a project does go under then I should lose very little work. I think this was the meaning of Poor boy\'s comments.

Lazarus-UK and all on this subject....appreciate all the comments..

I usually have 2 projects going...unfortunately, Riesel Sieve & Cosmology were both down at the same time...

so, when I noticed that the Cosmos were not uploading, I stopped computing those WU\'s, since I did not know when things would come back on line...after all, why keep computing WU\'s when they might pass the deadline date and go into the Black Hole Dumpster...

once they uploaded yesterday, I let it run again and only missed one July 15th report WU...

I still believe I lost over 50 completed WU\'s,

but that\'s OK, \"STUFF HAPPENS\"

Okay, I see what happened now, STUFF HAPPENS is right, I have about 25,000 Credits worth of Reisel Seive Wu\'s sitting on 2 Windows Box\'s right now that are past their Deadline. Guess I\'ll have to just dump them some day ... :)

You need to wake up, have a good cup of coffee & go outside & smell the roses before you start reading peoples posts & then taking them out of Context & making more out of their Post when it really isn\'t there ... ;)

I actually only had 1 hour of sleep last night. Toss and turn...

I went back and re-read the entire thread, and I can see where my confusion came in. I translated the \"not going to do any more\" as \"not going to download anything new\". I didn\'t think that processing was stopped completely... I also thought that there were still some uploading issues this morning, as I noticed some sluggishness...

Mea Culpa...

FWIW, I don\'t like coffee...but Mountain Dew is the only thing that kept me going today...
