Today I was looking through some results which have been pending now for a month or so. In each case I successfully completed the result; the number 2 cruncher detached without completing the task, and the third shows \"unsent\". It has not been issued again. I am wondering if these will ever be reissued so that you can reach a quorum and issue credit. Some examples are: http://www.cosmologyathome.org/workunit.php?wuid=1839215 http://www.cosmologyathome.org/workunit.php?wuid=1824849 http://www.cosmologyathome.org/workunit.php?wuid=1824356 Any comments appreciated. ![]() |

Thanks for your post Wang...the issue you bring up highlights some of the problems of not getting work here. It reminds me of a situation we had last year where results were not being reissued and the server many times was tell the manager there was nnw or committed to other platforms.Scott somehow fixed it last time. What I would say at this point is as per Scott\'s announcement of taking the server down for maintenance early May or sooner....if after said maintenance your results don\'t have a wingman please bring this up again.(I have not been willing to troll through my pendings list with all the mysql errors) |

Perhaps it\'s also why so I have so many work units pending (over 350 results to date and increasing). Wait and see. |

Hm, ok, I\'m going to give this project another go. I hope all issues have been resolved since last I run it and that we\'ll actually get fair credits for all WU\'s we crunch without any lame excuses etc ... ![]() |

Hm, ok, I\'m going to give this project another go. LOL ... If it isn\'t everybody\'s I\'ll only run the Wu\'s during the Fair Weather Girl Cristallize, I\'ve always felt that Scott has been more than generous with the Credits & if having a real life & studying to make something better of yourself is a Lame Excuse then your need to get a Grip on Reality & stop worrying so much about your Precious Wu\'s & the Credit they get ... :) |

I think I\'m having a similar issue with WU\'s still waiting to be issued. These are still waiting for the second task to be sent: http://www.cosmologyathome.org/workunit.php?wuid=2931427 http://www.cosmologyathome.org/workunit.php?wuid=2964932 There\'s nothing particularly unusual about either host (1 Win2k with a Core 2 and the other a WinXP with a P4), so I find it unlikely that HR restrictions are causing the scheduler to struggle for over a week to find a matching host to send the other task. ![]() |

Here is a strange one: http://www.cosmologyathome.org/workunit.php?wuid=2990717 It was sent to someone on May 18th, which timed out today and was re-issued to me. I completed it and returned it. That\'s not the strange part. The strange part is that the original wingman was never sent the WU and it still hasn\'t been sent to a wingman. You can tell it was originally expected to be sent to a wingman from the Task ID numbers. ![]() Calm Chaos Forum...Join Calm Chaos Now |

I checked my hosts too. I found nothing weird, but I did find a lot of \'ghost WUs\' where the project thinks a host has received a task (or a batch of them) whereas the host hasn\'t because of a communications timeout. AFAIK a known problem with busy servers, putting even more stress on the server later on as it has to \'discover\' these WUs after expiration and then resend them. Not a big thing and anyway the server does seem more responsive the last few days so it produces much less ghost WUs. Hmmm. Makes me wonder why I brought this up... |
