David, My 6 hosts have been members here at C@H for over 7 months now and I am getting the same message as your machines. Worked flowed pretty well 2 days ago, I received more work than I had in the prior 7 days. Now I am getting the \"no work sent\" message. At least that\'s a different message than the more annoying \"there is work but not for your platform\" message. This project has had serious stability issues for about a month now and is slowly coming back to life. If you are new to this project, you will definitely want to be connected to other projects as well so that your cpu stays warm... best wishes... |

The server status page tells all....there is no work to send as the work generator is not creating any. |

The server status page tells all....there is no work to send as the work generator is not creating any. Sorry to disagree, Jeff, but the server status page is showing green lights for all components of the project and 200+ wu\'s ready to be sent. Now, there may really be an issue with the work generator but it sure as heck isn\'t telling us that on the server status page. Do you have access to a \"non-public\" status page that has differing info? |

The server status page tells all....there is no work to send as the work generator is not creating any. Just as an FYI, the amount ready to be sent is a snapshot of a moment in time. The feeder / scheduler may have already allocated them, since the number is so small. That said, at least before the server update/upgrade, the status page was essentially worthless. It may still not be providing accurate information. I would speculate that the generator is only barely able to keep up with the demand right now. This may get better in time, as more machines are able to get work and may not request as often. ![]() |

@ Brian D - Due to HR, 200+ waiting to send are obscure cpu/os types. When you look at the server status over time...say last 2-3 months there is almost always 100k to send and 100-150k in progress even with the pre-fixed server and never saw it below 50k to send. In one of Scotts recent posts he commented that the work generator put out too many at 200k to send so I am guessing he simply shut it down and forgot to turn it back on and will as soon as he checks the project.:) EDIT- btw the green light indications have nothing to do with work generation,it could be 0 and everything would still show green. |

I decided to allow new tasks to get the 2 results I had to report reported. I only got the \"No Work from Project\" message, nothing about other platforms. Status page shows 210, updated 8 minutes ago. It\'d be nice to be able to see the result creation rate, but only if the numbers are accurate... ![]() |

From the front page News: \"May 11, 2008 Work generator back online It looks like work is flowing a bit better now, so I\'m going to restart the work generator and see what happens.\" Looks like it just didn\'t happen. One of my PCs (Athlon / Windows) sent 3 requests for workunits today and received 3 workunits - without any empty scheduler replies. As this has not happened for quite some time, I assume that something has been fixed. |

My observations over the last 24+ hours is that the project is working perfectly. My hosts are uploading and downloading work exactly as the client is asking. Results are being validated. Stats are exporting. Web page loading is fast. Life is grand! Good work Scott. Maybe a little \"news\" post as to what you did to fix all these issues would be a good read for us techies. |

Database or HD full? The \"no work sent\" problem is back! p.s.: It seems to have been only a temporary thing, now I got workunits again |

I\'ve been getting either \"no work for platform\" or \"no work from project\" messages for several hours now. The Server Status page shows there are 77,000+ ready to send. Anyone know what is going on? ![]() Calm Chaos Forum...Join Calm Chaos Now |

Same here, it had been working very well for a few days but now the problem is back. Scott needs to wield his wand once more I guess ;-) |
