I have hundreds of WU\'s that have now been recalled and canceled by the project. However - MANY of these were already crunched. Since the database servers were down, many of my machines did not get the information that these WU\'s were recalled and canceled so they continued to crunch them through the outage. Now that we are \"back up\" and I say this tongue in cheek.. I noticed that these have now been canceled, even IF they were aborted. Is this lost work ?????? |

I also had a similar problem although on a much smaller scale. The two wus below were received on the first and completed by the second by which time they could not be returned until yesterday due to the \'catch up\', during that time they were flagged as not needed. It took some 17 hours of processing time on my crate and they are now, apparently, going to receive no credit. A bit of a bummer really. 04/04/2008 21:34:09|Cosmology@Home|Message from server: Completed result wu_031808_060711_2_3 refused: this result wasn\'t sent (not needed) 04/04/2008 21:34:09|Cosmology@Home|Message from server: Completed result wu_031808_020416_0_3 refused: this result wasn\'t sent (not needed) |

Welcome to betaPersonally, I consider this project Alpha. I don\'t mind having some downtimes, app crash, not getting credit etc. I\'ve have been in DC for over a decade (well before SETI classic took of the ground), testing really long CPDN models even without promisse of getting credit etc. But when one read homepage messages and compare it to your own experince here, not getting anwwers or feedback... Due to prolonged downtimes and problems, lack of feedback from staff etc., I\'ve also downgraded it\'s mark in my table several days ago. BOINC Project specifications and hardware requirements |

Now I recognize that name. I remember you(Honza) from the early days of CPDN. You certainly had the answers and I respect your opinion all the more.Welcome to betaPersonally, I consider this project Alpha. |

I also have 5 WUs that gotten the status \"Didn\'t need\"... and they had already been crunched and it was those long WUs that took around 12000 sec each to complete. Personally I have a bit low tolerance for errors of this kind that actually makes my computer time a total waste at least for those 16 hours it took to crunch those WUs. ![]() |

have not lost that many WU\'s.....but interestingly this WU has been completed by both of us since the 9th and is not validating... |
