I was wondering if it would be possible to create a future so that you assign to run a specific project on one core and another one on another core if you have a computer with multiple cores.

This is a function in BOINC that I have missed for many years now.

How ever nowadays when multi core CPUs and multi processor PCs gets only more and more common I think it\'s even more urgent !

But maybe that is a function you could set on your \"Cosmology@Home preferences\" page instead ????

On multiprocessors, use at most: 1 processor
, just like on the General Preferences page.

It would have to be an addition on the BOINC side, not the project side. The projects run when they are told and have very little control. The version 6 BOINC will farther limit what project applications can do so there will be some protection from malicious projects.
