As I am unable to find another thread on personal milestones (or any other type), I am placing mine here. Others are free to add their own milestones if they wish. Have passed 50,000 cobblestones on Cosmology. |

Congratulations, all! Congrats to you and laurenu2! The TeraFlops number does represent the total effort by everyone - it\'s the total number of ops per second by all computers that are running C@H. Still, it\'s pretty impressive that out of over 2700 active participants the top 10 participants (including you and laurenu2 at the very top) contribute over 4 percent of the total. At the same time this also means that over 95% of the 5 TeraFlops is due to everyone else :) In our upcoming paper we will acknowledge the top 10 participants by screen name. To represent the bulk of our participants we will also acknowledge the 2 participants who simulated the Universe that best fits the current data. We are basically ready to submit - we just didn\'t think we should do it just before Thanksgiving when everyone is eating turkey rather than reading papers... :) All the best, Ben Creator of Cosmology@Home |

Have now passed 100,000 cobblestones. Also building another computer, but as I have all Linux on this project, I will add a Windows machine to replace my general purpose computer (replacing an Intel 2.53 GHz P4 with an AMD Opteron 285, double the cpu\'s and 4 times the cores). This one will also do some Boinc on the side. |
