Hi everyone -
This is our first day of beta testing! Scott's heroic efforts to get the new code version 2.0 operational are bearing fruit as I write this.
I just wanted to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed so generously during our alpha testing phase:
- first of all to our loyal participants whose CPU cycles are already contributing to ground-breaking science;
- to Scott who has done a tremendous job taking this project through its alpha testing phase;
- to the NSF for providing the seed funding to get Cosmology@Home going;
- and to the members of my research group who have shared my enthusiasm for this new venture and who continue to do wonderful work.
I look forward to the next stage in Cosmology@Home!
Yours -
Ben

Fantastic! We are taking off to the stars....
Isn't this the kind of thing that should be on the front page news? The project news gets exported to many sites.

Awesome!
I'm so glad I was able to be a part of the project.
This has to be one of my favorite projects.

Hi everyone -
We are planning to put up a "C@H in the News" page that lists the various media mentions we have been getting.
Talking about milestones, we've also just passed 4 TeraFlops.... :)

Thanks Ben for this update!
4 teraflops...cool....would be nice for the server to display more stats like that but I am sure that is a lower priority :) |

Hi, Ben! I am new here and enjoy crunching this project. How long do you expect the Beta stage to last before going into production mode?
By the way, all four of my projects are in astronomy/physics. This total includes Cosmology@home. That is where my interests are! In fact, I am looking forward to crunching two more astronomy projects in the near future when they become available. |

Regarding the news about becoming a top 10 project----amazing. And this project is still very new. Outstanding accomplishment. A lot of the credit goes to you and your staff. The attention to our questions and issues is what makes this project enjoyable for me and I am sure to many others. Well done from someone who will be a long time cruncher for your project.
