I'm not sure when it will get here (this project), but:

Web: List Host ID on Pending Credit Page
Reported by: ohiomike Assigned to: Rytis
Priority: Minor Milestone: Undetermined
Component: Server - Web - Project Keywords:

Description ¶

It would be nice if the Host ID was shown on the Pending Credits page. Having the Host ID would allow you to see if a given host was having a problem instead of having to clicking on several hundred entries to determine which host is getting all the pending WUs.

Change History

Why a pending WU has anything to do with the host having a problem? It just means it returned the WU before the rest.

08/24/07 11:51:03 changed by ohiomike ¶

1) On projects using HR, many people have problems with the host not "matching up" with anyone. 2) There also appears to be a scheduler bug on one project I run (Cosmology@Home) where many WU's are not matched up with a partner, leaving them with a "pending" running against "unsent". The change I suggested would make tracking down these types of problems easier.

* status changed from new to closed.
* resolution set to fixed.

(In [13453]) Add host id to pending credits page (fix #377)
Add/Change #377 (Web: List Host ID on Pending Credit Page)

In [13453] = changes to trunk/boinc/html/user/pending.php

Ok so what does this really mean in practice...is it an automatic change that Scott has to do some option change? Or does this require a new server edition to come out before it can be implemented( btw Great job ohiomike)

I've placed the updated version in the HTML directory, so it should be working.

Cut from Web page, paste into Excel speadsheet, /Data/Sort.. That's what I was after.
PS- I entered a Trac for the sort a while back and got shut down- Too much database overhead involved.
PPS- I've been so worried about my Xeon machine and the "unsents"- once I looked at all the data at one time, it turns out most of my pendings are from my AMD's: 6000+ x2(95), 5600+ x2(63), and 4200+ x2(83). A quick look shows very few "unsents" for them at this time, most are just waiting for a wingman to finish.

Just curious Scott- Did you go back to the old Pending credit Web Page for a reason, or was that an over-site during a system upgrade(?) ?

It was a side-effect of downgrading the server to a more stable version. It should be only temporary though; I'm trying to figure out what the problem was with the new server that caused all the WUs to error out. Once I figure that out, I'll migrate back to the newest version.
