Hope this will help You debug the problem!

Thank You!

PS:
My other hosts seem so far running about 30 min without any problems, maybe wrapper and win xp pro 64bits don't match(wild guess!)

This is a result of me setting the accuracy settings too high on the first set of test workunits I just created. These WUs took far too long to run, and as a result, some hosts rejected them.

I just changed the input parameters to be a little more forgiving, which will result in each WU taking around 10 mins or so to complete.

So the ones that are 'scheduled' to run 1+ hours should be aborted? Mine's been running for 1h10min, and shows 0% progress, with a run-time of over 1 hour still to go.

That's just fine. The results should still be valid and worth anywhere between 10-20 credits, if you are intent on finishing it.

My laptop is still going after a little over 2 hours =)

Even though they're not showing any progress? Is that correct for this project's WUs? I ended up aborting it.

Finished first WU in 1 hour 43 minutes. Recieved nothing for it, it simply vanished without a trace.

Second WU like the first one, not showing progress and at 19 minutes and 42 seconds and still running.

Yes, does the WU checkpoint at all? I also find it a bit bothersome the fact that there is no progress indicated. Is this normal?

BORG-
I'm currently looking into this issue. It's a problem that others have reported with Windows 98, so thank you for bringing it to my attention that this also affects XP.

Acme-
For our first release, we are using a legacy application using BOINC's wrapper program. Therefore, checkpointing is not implemented and won't be for the foreseeable future. The app should be reporting progress, though, so I'll check that out as well.

BORG-
I'm currently looking into this issue.

With the short WUs I am not too concerned about the checkpointing. But thanks for the info.

I just got this on a "newer, shorter" WU.

The "can't rename" and "output file absent" error message is something you see on many projects these days. I have the impression they mean nothing else than that the work unit ended in error. Is that an error message that is specific for newer Boinc versions, Boinc internal specialists? It's pretty confusing IMO.

I'd rather have a computer that could finish a WU within 8 seconds.

Is there a problem with the validation?

Seems where there is a quorum of 2, replication of 4 and if you're 4th (sometimes 3rd I've noticed as well) getting the result in, the result is marked as 'invalid' and you are granted 0 credits.

After having a look around I see it doesn't always happen but there are a lot of results around with this.
