Validator is kaput. Server status page is kaput... Reporting did work though...

Validator is now ploughing its way through the stuff that has been dumped in my Pendings.

I can keep the server putting along as long as I restart the daemons and database every once in a while. I\'m still looking into this, although I think it might help if we throw in a bit more RAM.

What type of RAM do you need ? There might be someone among us that can donate it -

Obsevation: Seems like the only time any of my hosts get more than 1 or 2 tasks every 6 hrs for the last few days is during the US late night/early am hours when I would guess sever load is the lightest.

I haven\'t received ANY tasks for several days; sure would like to though. Tried detach/reattach also to no avail. Just get \"No work from project\", \"committed to other platforms\" or \"Can\'t open database server\" (get enough messages to fill up a disk drive) ;-).

It\'s just a Frustrating Project to try & run, I manage to pick up a few Wu\'s here and there but that Work for other Platforms Message just drives you nuts when you know there is work for your CPU Type ... There simply can\'t be 80,000+ Wu\'s Available & their all for Non Intel type CPU\'s, if it was that way the AMD Boys would be getting work but their not either.

The Forums seem to be running a little better this morning anyway, I even got into my Pending Credits for the 1\'st time in 2 or 3 Days ... :)

Falling asleep here... no tasks now for 10 days! Unplug those Core 2 machines so us P4 guys can get a task now and then. I\'m baffled why it is taking so long to get tasks flowing again. I\'m getting less and less interested in this project as each day passes. My wife obtained her Masters of Education from U of I but that\'s where my loyalty ends.

If it works go for it, but so far no amount of stuttering or pleading (sweet or sour) is having any positive effect on work flow. (sigh)

Scott- Do you have an update for us on any progress with the mysql problems? I know that nobody is posting anymore about this but the problem remains of getting sporadic work and mysql errors loading web pages at (most)times...especially with intensive db query pages.I believe a lot of people have given up posting, its not that the problem is gone if you don\'t know that already ;)

It\'s not so much as given up posting, it\'s the inability to load the forums. Yesterday I let Firefox sit here for 30 minutes trying to load the forums, all it could come up with was the menu bar at the top and then it went into a reloading sequence of, I suspect, the logo.

These are the easiest forums to moderate as I am not able to get here... so I then hope that spammers aren\'t either. ;-)

I have yet to have any problems with the forums. I use Firefox (v2) on this box, but have IE 7 on Vista on another one.

I do have problems getting work - and I run both Intel and AMD processors on different boxes that are attached to Cosmo...

I\'ve been able to connect easily in the past (3-6 months) and have downloaded workunits without any problems.

Since I was unsure as to the length of time which had passed since I last connected to the project, I performed a \"Reset Project\" action from the BOINC manager. I am receiving the following message upon connection attempt:

5/4/2008 8:19:00 AM|Cosmology@Home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 304 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks

I checked Server Status and all indicators are green.

I am not seeing this issue. Is it still happening for you?

I haven\'t checked all my results of course - but on those I checked lately, I found all my wingmen having AMD CPUs (I\'m crunching Cosmo mostly on AMD too).

Is it possible, that this message \"there was work but it was committed to other platforms\" does not only refer to the OS but to the combination OS+CPU manufacturer, that has to be homogenous?

This would explain the many people getting this message on both operation systems.

p.s.: something in the forum is broken, after \"OK\" (the submit button) it acts as if I had clicked \"Preview\", but with an empty message input

It happens only now and then, there was a database error on top of the page too but I clicked too fast ... sorry

Yeah, I\'ve noticed this. It\'s probably an error with our website design and the updated version of the BOINC HTML code. I\'m looking into it.

Detaching and then reloading hasn\'t solved the glitch either, so suspending the project here :(

Nope, neither has re-booting, or resetting the project. It all seems to be the \'051...\' work units, I still have some of the \'050...\' and they\'re fine.

I\'m not suspending, leaving them all open if the problem is resolved quickly enough I won\'t miss a beat.

The lack of stats output is another issue too.
