As I am always in for a good round of testing, I have enabled "run test applications". The result of that is that no regular work is returned any more. No test work either, as none is probably released at this time. I get 8/8/2007 00:22:21|Cosmology@Home|Message from server: No work sent 8/8/2007 00:22:21|Cosmology@Home|Message from server: (there was work for other platforms) both on Linux and Windows. Isn't it possible to have a behaviour where work for the test application is downloaded if available, otherwise regular work? On condition that "run test applications" is enabled of course. Funny enough, I am not getting any new work either although until now I had forgotten to enable "run test applications". ;-) And server status still says "Results ready to send 23,627", hmmmm... **scratches head** Lovely greetings, Cori ![]() |

Oh, then there might be another reason for me not getting any work <scratch> BOINC.BE: For Belgians who love the smell of glowing red cpu's in the morning Tutta55's Lair |

"run test applications"? Where is this setting? I looked in General Preferences, Cosmology@Home preferences (where this kind of switch usually is), and Message Board Preferences. Am I blind? Dublin, CA Team SETI.USA |

Whoops, now it's gone?! Some minutes ago it was under Cosmo@Home Preferences. Lovely greetings, Cori ![]() |

Zombie its under project pref not general. I might be wrong about this but my hunch is this option is not enabled server side ....Scott was going to release them mainstream as we are all testing anyways....and your getting the nnw message BECAUSE of not being enabled...I think it comes with the skin in the new Boinc server models |

It should be working now. I deleted the "project_has_beta" variable from the project PHP script, so the option will no longer be visible. My Windows desktop wasn't getting any work earlier, but now it is, and so is my Linux laptop. I think there might be a problem with beta applications. I've changed test_camb accordingly. I've only released one WU for it so far; I might release more tomorrow, but it's still not ready for any more than a couple of WUs an hour. Scott Kruger Project Administrator, Cosmology@Home |

I deleted the "project_has_beta" variable from the project PHP script, so the option will no longer be visible. Ah. That explains it. Dublin, CA Team SETI.USA |

Still not getting new work. I am not getting any new work at all today, even when I "Update" BOINC. Odd... |

My Long Term Debt is in the way of fetching new work, so I'll wait another 3300+ seconds before I complain. ;-) |

After updating my Ubuntu (vmware) and installing the newest BOINC version again I tried to get some "test_CAMB" WUs but just got the "normal" ones. ;-) Lovely greetings, Cori ![]() |
